Life Lately

Hey Dolls! 

Whew, can life slow down? I mean dang! I know the past few Mondays I have been MIA, I had post planned but not composed so whomp, fail there. Those posts were basically weekend recaps and keeping y'all updated on my little life! So since I've been so dead every Sunday night and unable to write I figured I would cram two weeks into one post, on a random Thursday! Whooo!

Mother's Day weekend I had to work both Saturday & Sunday. Luckily a co-worker managed to come in early on Sunday so I could head home and surprise my momma! 

She was so shocked and we spent the afternoon out on the lake and soaking up the sun!

For momma's day I decided to give her all of her favorite wines and put labels on them with our picture! She LOVED them! Best gift ever award, right here!

Last weekend was my little sisters graduation party! Friday night I let her open everything I got her and she loved it all! I now think everything she owns is monogrammed!

Sydney & Jenna are sisters and Jenna is moving to Charlotte in August to attend UNCC! It will be so nice having her close to me!

Ok, I'm exhausted all over again thinking about the past two weekends! And next weekend I get to do it all over again! Ah!

What's In Your Bedside Drawer?

My bedside drawer, what does it say about me? If you would have looked in it last week it would have said I was a hoarding mess, but after my spring cleaning last week it says a lot about me! 

I am confident, a girly girl, I love my family, I am a thinker, a dreamer, a believer, I like to relax, I am planning for my future and possibly I am obsessed with chapstick.

My Bible and devotional are very important, and they aren't in the drawer! Bibles shouldn't be hidden and seeing it everyday is a reminder to dig in and indulge in the Word of God! My pictures, cards and letters in my bedside drawer are my little memories of special times in my life and things I can look back on if I am ever missing my family! My eye mask is a must, my room brings in a lot of light and If I'm ever trying to sleep in, this baby is a must! I shoulder roller is key, I hold a lot of stress in my shoulders and rolling this over them sometimes relieves a little bit of that stress! (Especially paired with a glass of wine!) My remote controls are so necessary, how else am I going to watch Grey's Anatomy while massaging my shoulders, drinking a glass of wine and blogging? Guess you could say I'm a multi-tasker too! My pain reliever and lip balms are quite possibly the most essential pieces in this drawer! Advil for those "morning headaches" and I can't tell you how many times a night I wake up and lather my lips in chapstick! 

Last but not least, my birth control! I choose to use an oral birth control. I set a daily reminder for a certain time of day and everyday at that time I take my birth control! This shows that I am planning for my future, my family's future. I would never want to bring a child into this world without preparation, making sure my family is ready, and most importantly, that I am ready! BY me remembering to take my birth control everyday I am preventing an unplanned pregnancy and planning for my future and life!

Dear Sister, 

I am SO proud of you! I can't believe yesterday was your last day of high school and you are headed to NC State! You are so smart and beautiful and I know you are going to go so far in life! I can't wait to spend the weekend with you and family celebrating your accomplishments! You are such a great person and I know daddy would be so proud of you! He is looking down on you every day and he is watching over every step you take! You will always be my baby sister and I will always be here for you no matter what! 

Dear Law & Order: SVU, 

I need to stop. You are taking over my life. I think my DVR may explode from all the recorded episodes I have of you. I am 100% addicted and I don't know what to do about it. I kind of make sure my afternoons are free so I can watch you on USA network. It is now a full blown problem. But I won't stop.

Dear Jeremy, 

Where to start? You are my rock! Sometimes I literally don't know what I would do without you! You always have the words to say when I need to hear them the most. You are kind, loving and so passionate about our relationship. I have never met someone who loves so deeply and unconditionally! Wednesday night was a scary time for me and you were there, helping me and reassuring me everything would work itself out and be ok! I know that every morning you are there to kiss me good morning and every night you will be there to tell me you love me. Your love is incredible and I will never take that for granted. I appreciate everything you of for us and I am thankful for every day I have with you!

I'm going to need you to last a few more months. You see, I can get a newer version of you but spending that money makes me sick. You are crapping out on me and I don't appreciate it! I'm gonna need you to tell the "N" key to start working again to stop freezing and then splitting the screen in half so I have no idea what I'm looking at. Apple said this would happen since you are beyond 2 now, but I just can't upgrade ya yet. I'm scared to spend that much money. So pull one out for me. Work, baby work!

YOU SUCK.

My life was in that Hobo. Every card, ID, SS card (oops,) every loyalty card, every gift card! All of it. GONE. I hope the $2 you found got you what you needed and everything else has been cancelled. Did you want a free pastry at Panera? It's yours. Did you want all my CVS rewards? They're yours! But no, I am no idiot, everything is cancelled, my credit is frozen. So have fun with that pastry and $1.50 off a face wash. Oh and I think there may have been $.60 on a McDonalds card, hope that got you a water. You are a pathetic waste of a person, I hope you get run over by the law one day and they rip you a new one. As for me, I will pray for you, I will pray that you find the peace and whatever else you need to sleep at night. Thanks for the headache and I'm gonna go get another glass of wine, you ass.
